My exact, field-tested, portfolio-level photo spots in Shanghai – all updated for 2025 conditions (new buildings, new restrictions, best light angles). I shoot Shanghai 20–30 times a year for magazines and brands, so these are the real money shots.

1. The Bund Night View + Huangpu River Cruise | 外滩夜景 + 黄浦江游船

C. Huangpu River cruise best angle | 黄浦江游船最佳角度

3. Shanghai Tower 118th-floor observatory (best in city) | 上海中心118层观景台（城市最佳）

1. The Absolute #1 Sunrise Spot in the Entire Park | 整个公园绝对第一的日出地点

How to reach at 05:40 | 如何在05:40到达:

  • From Yuanjiajie bus stop, walk 3 min toward First Bridge | 从袁家界巴士站，向第一桥方向步行3分钟
  • 20 m before the official viewing platform, take the tiny unmarked dirt path on the LEFT that goes around the railing (everyone misses it). | 在官方观景台前20米，走左侧绕过栏杆的小型未标记土路（每个人都会错过）。
  • Walk 80 m → you arrive at a natural rock balcony 30 m higher than the crowded platform. | 步行80米 → 您将到达一个比拥挤平台高30米的天然岩石阳台。

How | 如何到达: From Bailong Elevator top station, walk toward the "Back Garden" direction. After 10 min you reach a fenced area – walk left along the fence for 60 m, there is a permanent 1-meter gap locals use. | 从百龙电梯顶部站，向"后花园"方向走。10分钟后您到达一个围栏区域——沿围栏向左走60米，有一个当地人使用的永久1米间隙。

How to reach | 如何到达:

  • Stay at Tianzishan guesthouse or take the earliest cable car (opens 06:00 for guests) | 住在天子山客栈或乘坐最早的缆车（客人06:00开放）
  • From the upper cable car station, walk toward the official "Imperial Writing Brush" viewpoint | 从上部缆车站，向官方"御笔峰"观景点走
  • Instead of stopping at the crowded platform, continue straight on the concrete path for another 400 m past the toilets → you reach a small unmarked wooden deck built in 2023. | 不要停在拥挤的平台，继续在混凝土路径上直行400米，经过厕所 → 您将到达2023年建造的小型未标记木制平台。

Result | 结果: You own the entire sea of pillars with zero people. | 您拥有整个柱子海，零人群。

4. Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge – The shot nobody gets | 张家界大峡谷玻璃桥——没人能拍到的镜头

Secret sunrise spot UNDER the bridge (yes, under!) | 桥下的秘密日出地点（是的，在下面！）

How | 如何到达: Walk the 4-km hiking trail that starts at the bottom ticket office (opens 06:00). At kilometer 2.8 there is a small unmarked wooden platform directly beneath the middle of the glass bridge. | 走从底部售票处开始的4公里徒步小径（06:00开放）。在2.8公里处，玻璃桥中间正下方有一个小型未标记木制平台。
